Hungry girl strikes again!

How often is it raining and in the 50's at night in mid November!? Well obviously not too often, so I put on my sneakers and headed out in the rain/sprinkle mix last night. Since the marathon is the first weekend of May, you never know what the weather will be like. So off I went. It was a pretty decent run. I only ran for about 33 minutes before I turned into hungry Lynne again! What is wrong with me!? How am I going to run for four + hours? I can't strap a cooler onto my back! Perhaps a cooler on wheels will have to become my running companion! As soon as I walked into the house, I didn't take my wet vest or shoes off, I went over to the hubby and literally stole his bowl of peas! He promptly recited the SNL skit with chris Farley and the French fries- you know when he is at the mall dressed as a woman and asks his friend for a fry and inhales all of them. And the friend says something about eating better and chris farley yells, "lay off me I'm starving." well that was me last night! What is going on with me!? I was only out for 33 minutes!! And at least it was a bowl of peas and not ice cream that I decided to pig out on, right!? Hahah. But besides being hungry my run was really good. The heartbreak hill near my house isn't exactly getting easier, but I am consistently making it to the top now :). And my form and legs felt pretty good for being the day after bootcamp. So overall, I was pleased. Wet, but pleased. :)

So last night I googled marathon signs. And I found some pretty funny signs the spectators held while cheering for the runners. My favorites included: "worst parade ever", "puke and rally" (remember varsity blues!? Hahah), "don't stop, people are watching", "beat Oprah", and "you have great stamina, call me". There were also a bunch of inspirational ones too, but I defiantly got a good chuckle out of those. I may have to run the marathon with a camera so I can take some pictures of the ones in providence. Why not just buy a jogging stroller and pack it with food, drinks, camera, extra clothes, and a boom box. That way I won't have to wear headphones! BRILLIANT! :) who needs one of those belts that holds drinks when you can have a whole stroller!? Ha.
